A 52-year-old man was injured by several bullets in front of the front door of an apartment building on Sunday evening in Montreal North.

The crime occurred on Lapierre Avenue, near Pascal Street, around 7:20 p.m. When the police arrived, the victim was conscious, even though he was hit by several bullets in the upper body.

“[L’homme] was transported to a hospital center, said spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) Caroline Chèvrefils. He is currently in stable condition. […] The suspect or suspects fled before the arrival of the police.
The crime scene has been secured for investigators and forensic identification technicians. The canine unit has been requested to search for clues. Casings were found at the scene of the crime.

“Impacts of projectiles were located on two apartment buildings and on three parked vehicles,” said Caroline Chèvrefils. There were no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.”
