A 66-year-old man was found dead on Tuesday morning in the parking lot of a business near Highway 440 in Laval.
The police arrived on the scene in the early morning and found a man on the ground, hit by projectiles, said Stéphanie Beshara, spokesperson for the Laval police.
His death was pronounced on the spot.
A command post will be established at the scene to inquire further.
The police did not want to divulge other information, in particular if the victim was known to police circles and if a suspect is wanted in this case.
