The broadcast images show the window of theearly 16th century work partially covered in cream, later cleaned by museum guards.

“It seems unreal to me, but a man dressed as an old lady got up from a wheelchair and tried to break the protective glass of the Mona Lisa”said on Twitter a person who filmed the scene. “He then smeared cake on the window, threw roses all around him before being subdued by security”described this witness.
