A man suspected of having stabbed his partner and a child on the night of Friday 7 to Saturday 8 January, in Aubervilliers (Seine-Saint-Denis) was taken into custody, AFP has learned with the Bobigny public prosecutor’s office. The 29-year-old woman and the 2-and-a-half-year-old girl died after receiving numerous stab wounds, according to a judicial source at France Televisions.
The sister of the alleged perpetrator of the two murders, in her twenties, was also stabbed and jumped out of the second floor window of the building to escape. She is currently hospitalized in absolute urgency.
The 29-year-old suspect fled after the fact but was in a traffic accident. He was taken to hospital. A an investigation was opened for homicide against spouse and parent and for attempted homicide.
