A man was arrested and placed in police custody at the Saint-Jory gendarmerie, in Haute-Garonne, on Wednesday May 4, because he is suspected of feminicide, reports France Bleu Occitanie. The Toulouse public prosecutor’s office opened an investigation and seized the Toulouse Saint-Michel research brigade.
This man called the gendarmes around 3 a.m. on Wednesday to tell them that he had shot his companion at his home in Gratentour, north of Toulouse. The 30-year-old woman died from her injuries.
The suspect is an employee of the metropolis of Toulouse. He is also in his thirties. He waited for the arrival of the police in his vehicle, not far from the house, before being arrested.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the woman received two bullets. The man and the woman had been living apart for a year, the man had returned to live with his parents. They have two children aged 3 and 8. These were with their grandmother at the time of the events.
