A man was hit by more than one firearm projectile while trying to park his car Wednesday evening in Montreal.
The incident occurred around 7:15 p.m. on rue Céline-Marier, near chemin du Bois-Franc, in the borough of Saint-Laurent.
While the 41-year-old man was trying to park his car, a suspicious vehicle approached and one or more individuals opened fire towards the victim, said Caroline Chèvrefils, spokesperson for the City Police Department. of Montreal (SPVM).
Panicked, the targeted man tried to flee at the wheel of his vehicle and crashed into a tree in the yard of a nearby house.
The man was hit by more than one projectile, but was still conscious when help arrived, said M.me Honeysons. His life would not be in danger.
The identity of the victim has not been released, and no suspects have been immediately arrested.
The SPVM has opened an investigation to try to better understand the circumstances surrounding this attempted murder.
