Around 10:30 a.m., this Monday, November 14, 2022, a man fell in the Drac, between Claix and Pont-de-Claix (Isère). Witnesses alerted the emergency services. Firefighters deployed large resources with two teams of divers, as well as water rescuers.
After three hours of research, the firefighters stopped the operations, complicated by the strength of the current.
It is now the gendarmerie who is in charge of the case. The search did not resume on Monday afternoon, always because of the strength of the Drac current and the quickly falling night. The gendarmes are now studying the terrain and the possibilities of intervention of their divers.
At the same time, they are still trying to identify the victim, whose fall was only reported by local residents. The latter will be questioned and the investigators are looking for possible personal effects of the victim near the place of his fall.
