A man kidnapped and stabbed in Dollard-des-Ormeaux

A 25-year-old man was kidnapped before being found by the police with stab wounds on Monday evening on the island of Montreal.

A call made to 911 around 6:15 p.m. reported that the victim had been kidnapped by “suspects” in the parking lot of a business located on Des Sources Boulevard and De Salaberry Street, in Dollard-des-Ormeaux.

“When the police arrive on the scene, they meet witnesses, explained Caroline Chèvrefils, spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM). They receive the information that two suspicious vehicles have left with the victim.

Around 8:15 p.m., after investigation, police spotted one of the suspicious vehicles in the borough of Saint-Laurent.

Injured, but out of danger

“The police are trying to intercept the vehicle, and that’s when the victim managed to get out of the vehicle and, subsequently, the vehicle came to a stop,” said Ms. Chèvrefils.

The victim was transported to a hospital center since she had suffered stab wounds, but was out of danger on Monday evening.

A suspect, a 25-year-old man, was arrested at the scene before being transported to an investigation center to be met by investigators.

“Research is currently underway to locate the other suspect and the other suspicious vehicle,” said Ms. Chèvrefils.
