A man in his forties was placed in police custody on Sunday May 8, the prosecutor’s office in Créteil (Val-de-Marne) told AFP. He is suspected of having gouged out his partner’s eyes and having stabbed her several times.
The vital prognosis of the woman, whose age was not specified, is “engaged”, added a police source to France Télévisions. The couple have several children.
The facts took place at the beginning of the afternoon in Maisons-Alfort. The man, born in 1981, was arrested and placed in police custody at the premises of the Val-de-Marne judicial police, to whom the investigation was entrusted.
