A man in his thirties shot dead Wednesday evening in Marseille

The man was hit in the head, side and leg. He was known to the police for drug trafficking.

A man aged around thirty was fatally shot on Wednesday evening shortly after 10 p.m. in the 10th arrondissement of Marseille, franceinfo learned from a police source on Thursday June 13. According to this source, the victim is known for drug trafficking.

This man was hit in the head, side and one leg. The police found 9 millimeter caliber shell casings at the scene. Shortly afterwards, a car was found burned in the surrounding area, although at this stage the link could not be formally made with the murder. The Marseille judicial police are responsible for the investigation.

On April 17, the Minister of the Interior announced a new assessment of the “XXL net square” operations launched in March: four tons of drugs and 20 million euros seized. In Marseille alone, the operations gave rise to 461 police custody, 300 referrals and 49 “imprisonments”, for his part welcomed the Minister of Justice, Éric Dupond-Moretti.
