(Montreal) A man in his forties was seriously injured by gunfire in a motel in Brossard, on the South Shore of Montreal, during the night from Sunday to Monday.
According to initial information from the Longueuil Agglomeration Police Service (SPAL), at least one shot was fired towards the front door of a room in a motel on Taschereau Boulevard, around 1 morning time.
A man was reportedly hit by at least one firearm projectile in the upper body. The victim was transported by ambulance to a hospital where his life was feared, the SPAL said.
The police mention that the suspect(s) left in a vehicle in the direction of Highway 10.
No arrests had yet been reported as of Monday morning.
