Two men aged 17 and 18 were arrested in Deuil-la-Barre in Val-d’Oise, on the night of Tuesday May 3 to Wednesday May 4, after a chase in a car. A little after 2 a.m. on Wednesday, the police of the Anti-Crime Squad (BAC) saw a vehicle traveling at high speed in Eaubonne, in Val-d’Oise. They decide to control it but the vehicle refuses to comply and continues on its way, says a police source.
A few kilometers further, in Deuil-la-Barre, the driver lost control of the car and ended up hitting vehicles parked along the road. His vehicle stopped, the driver ran away, accompanied by his passenger. The police manage to catch up with them and arrest them.
During this arrest, the other police officers, who had remained next to the suspect vehicle, heard cries coming from the trunk. They open it and find a man with his meat cut in but not hurt. The 30-year-old says he was abducted at gunpoint around 2 a.m. while alone at his home in Houilles, Yvelines, about 10 miles away, according to two police sources. He was then kidnapped.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the two kidnappers were motivated by money. The man, a victim of kidnapping, explains that he is a butcher and caterer and that his kidnappers wanted to go to his warehouse in Deuil-la-Barre to steal him. Both suspects are known to the police.
