A motorist lost his life on Sunday in a swerve while driving his car in Saint-Rémi, in Montérégie.
The accident occurred around 12:30 p.m. when the driver lost control of his vehicle to end up in a ditch along Route 209, between St-Pierre Street and Fyfe Rise, detailed Catherine Bernard, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec.
When paramedics arrived, the man was unresponsive in his vehicle. He eventually died of his injuries.
The road was closed for part of the afternoon while an investigator determined the circumstances surrounding the accident.
