A man dies hit by a car on a departmental road in Dordogne

A septuagenarian died this Sunday around 7 p.m. in Saint-Médard-de Mussidan after being hit by a car. This man has been through the county 709 and a car hit him. The driver said he saw him at the last moment.

According to the mayor of Saint-Médard-de-Mussidan, the victim lived in the town and used to walk by the side of the road, on foot or with his bicycle. The place of the accident is not an accident prone place according to Michel Florenty, it is a straight road in the middle of a plain. There is no public lighting in this place according to the emergency services which intervened on the spot.

The driver and his passenger are unharmed but they are very shocked.
