A 35-year-old man was attacked in the early afternoon in the Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension borough, in Montreal. His life is out of danger.
A call was made to 911 around 12:45 p.m. to report a person “injured by a blunt or sharp object,” said spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Caroline Chèvrefils. The attack took place in a dwelling located on boulevard Pie-IX, near 40e Street.
When police arrived, the victim was conscious. The man was outside the home and suffered injuries to the lower body. He was transported to a hospital center. The suspect, however, fled before authorities arrived. The reasons for the attack remain unknown and the SPVM confirms that an investigation is underway.
