The facts took place on Wednesday January 5, around 2:30 p.m., at the Cartoucherie stop in Toulouse.
“Can you take your feet off please?”
A passenger enters the tram and wishes to sit down, so he asks a young man to remove his feet from the seat opposite. The latter, who is not alcoholic gets angry quickly in English, and starts spitting on him.
Other travelers then take the defense of the attacked man and they in turn see themselves insulted and receive spitting. The Tisséo security intervenes to subdue the individual while waiting for the police.
This 25-year-old man, whose identity remains to be confirmed, has been taken into police custody. A 50-year-old passenger came to the police station to report complaint for aggravated willful violence. The investigation is still ongoing, and the person still in the premises of the police this Thursday afternoon.
