According to the first elements of the investigation, a commercial dispute would be at the origin of the conflict which opposed the two men this Saturday at the end of the morning. A fight broke out between these two individuals on Boulevard de Vernon in Aubenas. A man stabs a man in his seventies with a knife. The 75-year-old victim did not survive. According to the Ardèche prosecutor’s office, the assailant in his sixties was arrested and admitted the facts. He is in custody.
This Saturday around 11:15 a.m., when the emergency services arrived on the spot after the events, the man was in cardio-respiratory arrest. Firefighters attempted to resuscitate the victim by exercising cardiac massage lasting more than an hour. The septuagenarian was pronounced dead at 12:30 p.m. Eight firefighters were mobilized on this intervention. Boulevard de Vernon in Aubenas was closed to traffic this Saturday afternoon.
