A man in his thirties was arrested on the morning of Saturday March 16 in Vesoul, in Haute-Saône, and placed in police custody for domestic violence, France Bleu Besançon learned from the Vesoul police. The man was released at 1 p.m. on Sunday and will be summoned to appear before the Vesoul Criminal Court on July 9.

The victim was broadcasting a video on the social network TikTok when her companion hit her, slapped her in the face, and squeezed her neck with his arm. One of her friends circulated the video, adding her contact details. This report was seen by the Saône-et-Loire gendarmerie, who notified the Vesoul police.

Officers immediately responded to the victim’s home at 5 a.m. this Saturday. She was found haggard, with visible marks of blows on her arms, Vesoul police told France Bleu Besançon, who immediately arrested the alleged perpetrator of the violence. The latter had 2.10 grams of alcohol in his blood.
