Around fifty tractors were waiting to take the road to Marseille on February 19 around 7 a.m. (FRANCE BLUE PROVENCE)

The mobilization of Bouches-du-Rhône farmers resumes this morning a few days before the opening of the Agricultural Show, with a black Monday expected on the roads, reports France Bleu Provence. Two processions are organized with the destination of the Mucem of Marseille: the first leaves Trets at 6:45 a.m., the second leaves Aix-en-Provence at 7:30 a.m. The two processions must meet on the A51 to reach Marseille via the A7. Farmers must then reach the prefecture via the Old Port and the Hôtel de Région.

They hear “keep the pressure on” on “the government“, explains Fabien Doudon, winegrower in Trets, to France Bleu Provence. “We made more than 120 demands, 20 of which were urgent. I’m going up to the Salon on Friday for five days and we really want to see if the demands we’ve made are moving forward, because the government has made proposals to us but we haven’t seen any response.“, he specifies. Before concluding: “We are waiting for concrete answers, we are not fooled“.

Taxis on roundabouts

At the same time, taxis are demonstrating on roundabouts in the department at the call of the Taxi Marseille union (National Taxi Union). The drivers organize filter barriers from 7 a.m., at the Lavandes roundabout at Marseille Provence airport, at the Saint-Charles station, at the Aix-en-Provence TGV station as well as at the roundabout in la Fossette, in Fos-sur-Mer. They always denounce the new medical transport prices.

The Bouches-du-Rhône prefecture invites users “to anticipate their movements” And “avoid the affected areas“.
