A major fire broke out shortly before noon on Monday August 1 within the recycling company Bioval, located in the Grande Bellavarde business area in Chamoux-sur-Gelon (Savoie).
“There are no injuries“says the mayor of Chamoux-sur-Gelon, Alexandre Dalla Muta. “It is waste that burns, waste from the bulky dumpsters of the recycling centers that are there waiting before being taken to a center in Grenoble“.
Thirty firefighters would be mobilized at midday to extinguish this fire. The origin of the fire is not yet known. The prefecture of Savoie advises to avoid the sector at this time.
