A luxury vehicle was the target of a fire on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday in the Pointe-aux-Trembles sector in Montreal.
A 911 call alerted the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) to a vehicle on fire on 57e Avenue, near rue Notre-Dame Est.
When the police arrived on the scene, they found a vehicle that was engulfed in flames, said SPVM spokesperson Véronique Dubuc.
Firefighters from the Montreal Fire Department were able to bring the blaze under control, but the damage to the vehicle was significant.
According to reports, citizens heard an exposure before seeing the vehicle immediately go up in flames.
The investigation was transferred to the arson section of the SPVM, said Agent Dubuc, adding that no one was injured and no suspects were arrested in the case.
