Known for its processing of cranberries and blueberries, Fruit d’Or has just received financial support from Quebec worth $15.2 million.
The Plessisville-based company, which has 500 employees, intends to carry out a 46.5 million project that will allow it to invest in automated equipment and implement initiatives aimed at reducing its energy consumption.
“Process automation and digital transformation are essential for our companies in the current economic context. Fruit d’Or has understood this and is taking steps to maintain its title as the world’s leading organic cranberry processor,” Christopher Skeete, Minister for the Economy, said in a press release on Friday.
Fruit d’Or has three factories and exports its products to more than 50 countries.
