A little girl born in Montreal could be the province’s first baby in 2024

(Montreal) A Montreal hospital center was the first to announce the birth of a baby on Monday night at the start of 2024.


The McGill University Health Center (MUHC) said a baby girl weighing 3.68 kilograms was born at 3:19 a.m. Her name is Lina-Maria Ben Amor.

The MUHC reported that the little girl and her mother, Olena Saguil, were doing well.

Olena Saguil and the child’s father, Mohamed Hedi Ben Amor, live in Montreal.

As of mid-morning, no other hospital in Quebec had reported the birth of a child since the start of the new year.
