“A little decency”pleads François Hollande, former President of the Republic, on franceinfo Monday November 27, denouncing the “political recovery” of the right and the extreme right, after the death of Thomas in Crépol (Drôme) which he describes as “drama”. “These young people from the city came to plant white people”says for example the president of the RN, Jordan Bardella on France 2 this Monday or an attack which relates to a “anti-white racism”assures Eric Ciotti (LR).

“This recovery, even before the families were also able to express their pain in the face of this tragedy, seemed to me to be completely indecent”, asserts François Hollande. Eight days after the murder of young Thomas, in Crépol in the Drôme, 9 people are indicted for “organized gang murder”, “attempted murder” Or “intentional violence committed in meetings”. Six were placed in pre-trial detention. On Saturday and Sunday, ultra-right activists went to the Monnaie district in Romans-sur-Isère (Drôme), because some of the suspects came from there.

See “parading through one of the streets of our cities identity groups, hooded, helmeted, in paramilitary outfits, it is extremely serious”is indignant François Hollande. “We are in a Republic where we can have opinions, express them, but we do not march with quasi-military means”continues the former head of state.

The worrying visibility of small far-right groups in the streets

Without repeating the term “ratonnade”employed in particular by the communist Fabien Roussel, François Hollande also condemns these demonstrations by ultra-right activists targeting young people in the Monnaie district. “It deserves the highest sanction, even if we cannot compare what happened with the death of a young person leaving a ball”reacts François Hollande.

The former President of the Republic expresses his concern, because “this is not the first time that we have seen these identity groups” parade through the streets. He takes the example of Dublin in Ireland, where far-right riots broke out after a knife attack last Thursday. “There was an equivalent far-right group, marching in the same composition, with the same outfits, with the same helmets, with the same batons”he emphasizes.
