A Lego exhibition to conquer the moon at the Pôle des étoiles in Nançay

Imagine 23,000 stacked Lego bricks, which represent an almost life-size astronaut and a lunar Jeep. It takes 240 hours of work, and it’s the work of the Epicure studio, who has assembled a dozen Lego pieces, presented from July 1 to January 3, 2023 at the Pôle des étoiles in Nançay. Sculptures devoted to space discovery.

Titouan, 11, discovers creations with stars in his eyes. “My favorite is the Space X rocket with the satellite. It’s realistic. And it’s good that there is an exhibition with Lego. I find it more understandable on site.”

Children can also play with Legos provided to create their own rockets. There is even a short film about the first steps of men on the moon, shown on a Lego television too.

Charbel Kazandjian is the head of the Pôle des Etoiles. For him, this exhibition really makes learning fun. “Science, and even a lot of things, can be understood like that, with play and fun. The mediation between researchers and the public goes through play.”

The president of the museum hopes attract 30,000 people throughout this exhibition, that is to say as much as during the Lego Star Wars exhibition, which they organized three years ago.
