Three singers

“If Bowie were alive, we imagine that this is the show he would have liked to give,” says Claude Larivée.

In addition to a polished visual component with video projections, large LED screen and the contribution of eight musicians, the production will have the particularity of entrusting the vocal part to three singers instead of one singer.

“If we had put a man on stage, everyone would have said that he is not quite alike, that he does not have quite the same voice. So what better than three women to sing the different Bowies of this era? Especially since Bowie was so innovative, ”submits the producer.

The identity of the trio, two of whose members are known to the public, will be revealed later, but “we will not put them forward,” said Mr. Larivée. “We chose them because they are ideal for casting and not hoping that they will sell tickets. “

Heroes Bowie Berlin 1976-1980 will be presented on March 26 at the National Arts Center in Ottawa, on March 30 at the Grand Théâtre de Québec, on April 15 at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier in Montreal, and on August 31 at the Cogeco Amphitheater in Trois-Rivières.
