To launch a great offensive, you need heavy and modern tanks. Challengers are arriving in Ukraine, delivered by Britain, while Poland and Germany have sent Leopard tanks. The Ukrainian Minister of Defense takes these deliveries with good humor. “Where’s the road to Moscow?”, he quips inside a tank. The arrival of these tanks is a prerequisite for a possible offensive. But first the 30,000 Ukrainians currently being trained in Europe and the United States must be ready.

Several hypotheses on the table

First hypothesis, the offensive could start from the region of Zaporijia, in the south of the country. An assault that would cut in two the territories held by the Russians. The same movement is possible further north, in the region of Vouhledar for example, to reach Mariupol. But kyiv will keep the location(s) and date a secret until the end. But the Russians are also preparing for a Ukrainian offensive. Finally, the other challenge for kyiv is to recruit other fighters.
