The smells of smoke released by the fire started this Monday, September 12 in Saumos (Gironde) can be breathed as far as Indre-et-Loire. So much so that the firefighters of Indre-et-Loire received a large number of calls from the population to report these odors.
Avoid overloading emergency lines
The firefighters of the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service of Indre-et-Loire therefore communicated via their Twitter account this Wednesday, September 14, to reassure the population and give an explanation for the phenomenon, to avoid overloading the emergency lines reporting these odors because “It is in fact fumes caused by a large fire which broke out on Monday around the town of Saumos, in Gironde.”
Members of Sdis 37 were also sent as reinforcements in Gironde, to overcome the fire.
