France Télévisions correspondent in Jerusalem, Agnès Vahramian, looks back on a night of concern marked by sirens and explosions across Israel.
Israelis can breathe again. After the large-scale air attack launched by Iran against the Jewish state on the night of Saturday April 13 to Sunday April 14, the time has come for appeasement across the country. “The Israelis are used to this war which has not spoken its name for years”, explains Agnès Vahramian, France Télévisions correspondent in Jerusalem, about the conflict between the two countries. While the Israeli army claims to have intercepted “99% of shots” from Iran, the atmosphere was “mixed” in Israel on Sunday morning. Despite these nocturnal fears, “Israelis are reassured because the ‘Iron Dome’ worked” and can count on American support, she explains.
