A judicial investigation for “intentional homicide” was opened in the week of October 25 by an investigating judge from Avignon after the death of a 27-year-old Spaniard in Soyons (Ardèche) on October 7, France Bleu reports Thursday Drôme Ardèche. The opening of a criminal investigation is an obligatory step in the criminal procedure. In the case of the Ardèche, the competent criminal pole is that of the Avignon judicial tribunal.
The young man, Roberto, was found dying on a path near a stream in Soyons, where he was spending the night in a tent canvas. He was hit by a blunt object and had about 30 head wounds. He succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The judicial police of Valence found blood in his tent and on the path in question.
