The naked body of a 24-year-old young woman was discovered on Saturday in Lanester (Morbihan). The Lorient prosecutor’s office announces this Friday the opening of a judicial investigation against X for “kidnapping” and “murder, preceded or accompanied by rape”.

A judicial investigation was opened on Friday June 2 against X for “removal” And “murder, preceded or accompanied by rape”six days after the discovery on Saturday May 27 of the naked body of a young woman of 24 years in the water of Blavet, in Lanester (Morbihan), announces the parquet floor of Lorient in a press release sent to France Bleu Breizh Izel.

The Lorient prosecutor’s office explains that the qualifications of this judicial investigation “do not in any way prejudge the results of the analyzes in progress, in particular with regard to any rape”but they aim to “allow the investigating magistrate to be able to carry out the broadest and most complete investigations possible”.
The body of the victim, Iris C., born in 1999 and originally from the Lorient region, was discovered by walkers on Saturday May 27 in the waters of Blavet. Tuesday, May 30, the Lorient prosecutor’s office had confirmed “criminal cause of death”, after an examination. The prosecution explained in particular that “the victim presented traumatic lesions and hematomas on the head and face, prehension lesions on the arms, traces of strangulation with a mechanism of major asphyxia”. He also specified that the autopsy had also highlighted “the recent nature of sexual intercourse, without it being possible to affirm the existence of violence in this respect”.
A man of about 30 years old was taken into custody on Sunday May 28 after the discovery of the young woman’s body. This man, close to the victim’s family circle, was released without prosecution on Monday May 29.
