A jackpot of $800,000 at “The Golden Egg Hen”

The jackpot of The goose that lays golden eggs now reaches $800,000 and if it’s not won in this Sunday’s June 4 episode, it will increase by $25,000 every week until someone lucky wins it.

The jackpot was last won on October 23 by Jean-François Beauchamp and Lynda Scheib, a couple from Lanaudière who won $774,000 in a double jackpot. It was because Mr. Beauchamp had won a golden rooster, so the jackpot hidden in the chosen egg was multiplied by two. Should this scenario occur again on June 4, the winner would walk away with a check for $1.6 million.

Remember that the largest jackpot in the history of The goose that lays golden eggs reached $1,075,000 on May 26, 2004. In 30 years, the show’s 9,135 participants have shared more than $278 million in prizes.

The show The goose that lays golden eggswhich is hosted by Sébastien Benoit and Julie Houle, along with announcer Richard Turcotte, airs every Sunday at 5:30 p.m. on TVA.
