The meeting was set for 5:30 p.m. Place Masséna in Nice, this Saturday. Together, Ukrainians and French gathered in support of the Ukrainian people. On the signs, one can read “stop war” (stop the war). Messages carried by adults and children, yellow and blue flag on the back.

“I had to be present”says Clara, a student from Nice, “What is happening in their country is terrible. They need support”. Beside her, her friend Margaux is moved. “When they started to sing the Ukrainian anthem in chorus, I had shivers…I saw that some were holding back their tears”.

A new rally is scheduled for Sunday, April 17 at 11 a.m., still Place Masséna in Nice.
