Strong evening for the 33e SOCAN Gala: after a year’s absence, more than 100 trophies were awarded on Sunday, during an evening held at TOHU. Ginette Reno, Plume Latraverse and Paul Piché are among the artists honored for their career, during the ceremony hosted by the drag queen Barbada.

This year, the copyright management society highlights the exceptional trajectories of three key figures in Quebec song: Plume Latraverse receives the Prix Excellence, Paul Piché is inducted into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame and Ginette Reno receives the Prix Hommage.
The presentation of this distinction will be underlined at the opening of the evening by the singer Jeanick Fournier, winner of Canada’s Got Talentwho will interpret A little higher, a little further, song by Jean-Pierre Ferland. This is an emblematic title of Ginette Reno since she wore it on Mount Royal in June 1975.
