War in Ukraine: a hotel in Kharkhiv targeted by a Russian strike, 13 injured recorded – (France 2)
In Ukraine, a hotel in Kharkiv was targeted by a Russian strike, causing thirteen injuries on the evening of Wednesday January 10.
30 civilians, including a France Télévisions reporting team, were in a hotel in Kharkiv (Ukraine) on the evening of Wednesday January 10. After 10:30 p.m., two Russian missiles hit the building. Two France 2 journalists were in the hotel corridors at the time of the explosion and were not injured. Their Ukrainian translator, for her part, received small shards of glass on her face.
“There were no soldiers in this hotel”
As a result of this Russian offensive, thirteen people were injured. One of them doesn’t understand why this hotel was targeted. “There were no soldiers in this hotel, only civilians”, explains Olexandra Babak, resident of the hotel. Same story from the hotel managers. The Russians justify these strikes by the presence of mercenaries. On December 31, they had already targeted an establishment frequented by the press in Kharkiv.
