A horse had to be put down, after a van accident, this Friday evening in Villebourg, in the north of Indre-et-Loire. Shortly before 7 p.m., the trailer detached from the vehicle’s attachment, tipped over and rolled over on the D938 departmental road, towards Château-du-Loir, in Sarthe.
Two horses aboard the damaged van
Two horses are on board. One manages to escape, but the other is stuck in the van, lying on the pavement. The six firefighters hired manage to extract it, but the seriously injured equine had to be euthanized on the spot.
The departmental was cut for an hour, in both directions of traffic.
