A homeless person was violently attacked on Wednesday June 26, in the evening, in the middle of the street in Rennes, in Ille-et-Vilaine. His vital prognosis is in jeopardy, France Bleu Armorique learned from the Rennes public prosecutor. Two teenage suspects were arrested by police.
Wednesday evening, around 11:30 p.m., the man was in the Cleunay district when he was attacked by teenagers. He fell after receiving a violent punch in the back of the head, said the public prosecutor, confirming information from the newspaper Ouest-France.
The 50-year-old homeless man was resuscitated on the scene by the SAMU after a cardio-respiratory arrest. He was then transported to the Pontchaillou University Hospital in Rennes in a very serious condition. “He was operated on during the night, his vital prognosis remains very serious at this time”specifies the public prosecutor of Rennes, Philippe Astruc.
The exact circumstances of the attack are still to be determined. Two suspects, 14-year-old teenagers, were arrested by BAC police officers shortly after the incident, just before midnight. They were placed in police custody for violence in a meeting with ITT for more than eight days. A third attacker is still being sought.
