35th edition “Festival Le livre à Metz” from April 8 to 10, 2022, it is an opportunity for multiple exchanges between the public and authors… An unmissable event for all book lovers!
the The Book Festival in Metz a unique event in France, will take place for three days Republic Square on the theme: Not even afraid ? which invites us to return to joyful, daring times, to open up again to others, to the world, after this period of health crisis!
On the program, privileged meeting times in the presence of 180 guests such as authors, screenwriters, journalists and historians.
But, also, signing sessions, comic book and youth workshops for young and old, debates, film screenings, exhibitions, shows.
Friday, April 8, 5 p.m. : Inauguration of the festival in the presence of Francois Grosdidier mayor of Metz, and the president of the Le Livre association in Metz, Aline Brunwasser.
Guests of honor this year: the writer Laurent Gaude / the illustrator Anne-Simon / the journalist Ariane Path and the author Anne-Laure Bondoux.
The Festival also awards prizes: The price Marguerite Puhl-Demange, which rewards a work published during the year, after a pre-selection of the selected books carried out by the Organizing Committee of the festival, the partner booksellers and the librarians of the Libraries-Mediatheques of Metz.
Prize giving Graoully : to the winner Vincent Pianina for his album: The Secret Master’s Top Secret (Thierry Magnier) acclaimed by the young readers of the jury aged 7 to 10.
Also the price: Literary Frontiers-Leonora Miano, this prize rewards a French or foreign novel of the year 2021 dealing with the theme of borders, It pays tribute to the writer Leonora Miano... This year is Mariette Navarro who is rewarded for her very beautiful novel Ultramarines (Quidam). A meeting with the author will take place after this ceremony.
Festival Livre à Metz is an event supported by the National Book Center (CNL).
The Book in Metz has been bringing for several decades a stone that has become essential to the cultural edifice of the city of Messina.
