The Jean Rostand high school in Mantes-la-Jolie (Yvelines) was evacuated and is closed Monday, April 3, in the afternoon, after fireworks mortar fire by students in the playground in the morning, learned from franceinfo from the rectorate of Versailles.
Firework mortar fire was carried out on Monday morning by “students” in the playground, without causing “no injuries, no material damage”explains the rectorate in a press release sent to franceinfo. “The management of the establishment has evacuated the students and is supporting the educational teams on what to do to prevent any recurrence of these actions”he continues.
According to the rectorate, the students in question have not yet been identified Monday at the start of the afternoon. “A complaint will be filed by the establishment, which remains in contact with the police. (…) The rector of the Versailles Academy as well as the departmental directorate of National Education of Yvelines condemn these incidents and bring their support for the educational community as well as high school students”completes the rectorship.
