Concerning France’s budget, Michel Barnier does not beat around the bush: there is urgency. Our country has never been so indebted in its history. “There are 25 billion euros to find”underlines a Bercy executive. For the government, there is currently no question of increasing taxes on employees. As for savings, it is not easy to find them. The new ministers dream of seeing their budget increase. The Minister of Justice hopes to cancel part of the savings ordered from him.
Building a budget is a flammable subject, especially when the President of the Republic is easy to spend, as Bruno Le Maire, former Minister of the Economy, and former Bercy executives had pointed out. Everything suggests that the announcement of Michel Barnier’s budget will hurt some people a little.
