A gynecologist from Indre-et-Loire accused of gynecological and psychological violence

A gynecologist based in Indre-et-Loire has been the subject since mid-April of four complaints to the Council of the Order of Physicians of the department for gynecological and psychological violence, indicates Tuesday April 26 France Bleu Touraine. The facts described occurred between 2015 and 2021. In total, around thirty people claim to have been victims of violence but also of transphobic, homophobic remarks or even inappropriate remarks.

A third complainant recalls a nightmarish implant placement and being teased by the doctor about an alleged needle phobia. The last is still shocked to have left with an anesthetic cream when she came for painful sexual intercourse: “He provided a solution to the pain but not to its source.”

In total, about thirty people claim to have been victims of violence on the part of this gynecologist, on the Instagram account “Actions féministes Tours”. “I was just shocked to feel his skin against mine”, “He forced the speculum in, shouting”, “I never went back to see a gynecologist again”, “I experienced it as a rape”, testify some of these people on France Bleu Touraine. Not all wanted to file a complaint.

The Council of the College of Physicians neither confirms nor denies having received his complaints. He has a period of one month, counting from their receipt, to organize a conciliation meeting with the persons who reported these facts.
