“A guy came to calculate the number of meters, another measures the temperature”, Cauet and Cecile de Menibus reveal the crazy behavior of Ben Stiller’s staff!

20 years already! No, it is not a title of a film but rather the number of years of existence of “The Cauet Method”. The famous program hosted by Sébastien Cauet and Cécile de Ménibus in the early 2000s. This Thursday, April 27, C8 celebrates the anniversary of the program with a first part of the evening with a compilation of the best moments of the show broadcast on TF1 at the time.

To celebrate this “return”, the duo answered questions from the Figaro Buzz TV this Wednesday, April 26. The opportunity to deliver some anecdotes and not the least. Like the day when Cauet and Cécile de Ménibus interviewed the American actor Ben Stiller… in a particular situation. “We had everything. Guys who come, who want to eat improbable things, we had a guy who came to calculate the number of meters…”remembered in particular the one who also officiates on the radio NRJ when asked if they had experienced any star tantrums during the show.

Ben Stiller capricious? Cauet provides details

In reality, it is not the stars themselves who have whims. But rather their staff, as the host points out: “You have to know something, when an American star comes, she comes with 15 guys. The 15 have to justify their salary. So if one of them arrives and measures the meters, the other will measure the temperature !”. “I remember an interview with Ben Stiller. We had to do it, he couldn’t come so we did it sometimes in the hotel room, he measured the temperature”he continued.

According to him, a “nana came like that (he mimics a woman raising or lowering the temperature: ndlr) ‘No, it’s too hot'”. A little “merry-go-round” that would have lasted several hours: “She was leaving and we were waiting. It lasted an hour and a half with the “too hot”. So much so that Cauet saw red at one point: “He still came and I wanted to get up and be ‘too cold’ and leave. In fact, it’s not really them. They’re a kind of staff who need to justify the salary”. A moment that we will perhaps find this Thursday, April 27, for the 20th anniversary of the program.
