New adventure for Lara Fabian. The 52-year-old star will tackle a new challenge. Indeed, she will make her film debut in Arlette, the new film by Quebec director Mariloup Wolfe. His role ? That of a French minister.
The character of the ex-coach of The Voicehad to be a man first. “We were looking for the French minister. We even approached super famous French actors [comme Omar Sy, Jean Dujardin]but it was not easy in times of COVID”told the director to the site movie.
The main character, played by Maripier Morin, who had the idea of changing this masculine role into feminine. “At one point, it was while speaking with my agent, who is also my stylist, who works with Lara on Star Académie, that we said: ‘what if we offered it to Lara!!’ There, I called Mariloup and said: “I have an idea; bear with me”. I told her that it was really on the left and that she had to listen to my pitch”.
In addition, we learn that there will be a love scene between the character of Maripier Morin and that of Lara Fabian. The two women will find themselves naked in a bed.
The shooting of the film took place in the city of Quebec, in particular at the parliament, at the Château Frontenac and at the Théâtre Capitole.
