“Every week, a child dies at the hands of their parents,” warned Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne, who personally carries the government’s plan against violence against minors, on Monday, November 20.
The issue is burning, as there is an urgent need to better protect minors. Better hear victims
The ambitious plan includes 22 measures and aims to better hear victims. Among these actions, the recruitment of 26 additional listeners to the emergency numbers 119 and 3018. More than 50 specialized police officers and gendarmes will also be recruited to investigate and dismantle the networks. A new telephone number (08 06 23 10 63) has also been set up for people sexually attracted to minors, in order to prevent any action.
