In Arcachon this week, starred chefs are offering gourmet meals perched 50 meters above the ground. This has been happening at Pereire beach since today and until Sunday.
A table for 22 people is suspended in the air by means of a crane. The guests, strapped to their armchairs, take advantage of the view of the Bassin d’Arcachon and a royal meal.
Behind the stoves and also perched in the nacelle, several great Girondin chefs including Stephane Carrade of the Skiff Club at Pilat or Thierry Renou du Patio from Arcachon.
It is a Belgian company that invented the concept of “Dinner in the sky”. Price of this perched meal, watch out for the fall, 265 euros for lunch and 295 euros for dinner, wines included. Notice to amateurs, reservation required.
