Everything ends well but the residents of the Ilot Littré district, in the heart of Nîmes, had a great fright on Tuesday at the end of the afternoon. The firefighters confronted with a strong smell of gas had great difficulty in locating it.
They had to set up a security perimeter between rue du Grand Couvent and rue du Général Perrier.
About fifteen residents were evacuated. GRDF was then able to plug the leak, and everything was back to normal at 8.15 p.m.
The Gard firefighters had sent 5 emergency vehicles to the site.
