Daniela Klette, one of Germany’s most wanted fugitives, was arrested in the heart of Berlin on Tuesday February 27. An alleged member of the former far-left organization Red Army Fraction, she had been wanted for more than 30 years. Daniela Klette was wanted for several attempted murders and robberies until 2016. She would have been one of the heirs of the Red Army Faction, a terrorist group responsible for several attacks between 1971 and 1991.

Identified using fingerprints

This woman, aged 65, managed to live in hiding for decades. According to the German daily “Der Spiegel”, she was identified thanks to her fingerprints on an Italian passport. The hope of a trial looms for the victims. “For the criminals, we will continue to pursue you, you will never be safe”, assures Kathrin Wahlmann, Minister of Justice of Lower Saxony.
