The jackpot of 130 million euros in the transnational EuroMillions lottery was won on Friday by a French player, Française des Jeux (FDJ) told franceinfo, confirming information from the newspaper Le Parisien.
“This player checked the five correct numbers, as well as the two correct stars”, specifies the FDJ. These numbers are 9, 11, 13, 21 and 32; the stars to check were 02 and 07.
Second Frenchman to win the jackpot
This player is the second Frenchman to win the EuroMillions jackpot in September. A few weeks ago, a recently fired Breton woman won more than 109 million euros in EuroMillions during the September 1 draw. It was a fifty-year-old woman who had recently been made redundant.
The biggest jackpot in the history of the European lottery in France dates back to October 15, 2021, with the sum of 220 million euros won in Tahiti by a Polynesian who was playing for the first time.
