a French frigate shoots down two drones coming from Yemen in the Red Sea

A French frigate patrolling the Red Sea shot down, on the night of Saturday December 9 to Sunday December 10, two drones coming from northern Yemen, a territory controlled by the Houthi rebels who threaten to disrupt traffic on this strategic maritime route as part of of the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

“The interception and destruction of these two identified threats” took place 110 kilometers from the Yemeni coast, near Hodeida. Houthi rebels on Saturday threatened to attack any ship in the Red Sea heading towards Israel if the population of the Gaza Strip did not receive emergency aid. Follow our live stream.

The Israeli army continues its offensive in the Gaza Strip. The IDF and Hamas are engaged in heavy fighting in the southern Gaza Strip, where hundreds of thousands of people are desperately trying to protect themselves. According to the Palestinian movement, the Israeli air force carried out “very violent air raids” near Khan Younes as well as on the road between this town and that of Rafah, near the border with Egypt.
