The animal is near the King-Edward wharf and would be unable to return to land because of an icebreaker that destroyed its path, Eric Dussault, general manager of the organization, told TVA.

On its Facebook page, the rescue team asked people on Friday not to attempt to rescue the fox and to “stay quiet nearby” so as not to scare it away.
